Free Golf Games - How To Find The Top Games To Unwind With After A Long Day

Finding free golf games online today really isn’t very difficult. Just a simple Google search will probably produce millions of search results answering your inquiry. Here are the best games to find online.

The best thing about the Internet is that it offers you the opportunity to do just about anything you can do in real life online. You no longer have to travel to the golf course to play golf. Simply, there are many different online versions of golf available to give you the opportunity to play golf from the comfort of your own home, and often times for free.

Some of these free golf games are able to be downloaded via the Internet, and sometimes they can’t be. Often times, they are just as if not more exciting than the real game of golf, and can be very addicting. Here some quick tips help find the best games available.

Here is a quick list of some great free golf games that you can find on the Internet. First of all, the best ones are usually golf solitaire, farmer’s golf, miniature golf, etc. There are many different online versions you can get, and you can often times download these games over the Internet. They can generally be played over the Internet with multiple players, or you can play by yourself.

Another option is to simply download them onto your computer, and play it off the Internet. Keep in mind, there are both free as well as paid varieties of these games, and you can decide which ones are the best you want to play. Of course, the free golf games are often times very limited in what they offer, so depending on how much money was spent on this, you might not be able to find great games.

Also, some games will generally give you a few levels of free playing, and then charge you for the higher levels. This is obviously to encourage you to pay them once you get hooked on the game.

Following is a list of some paid golf games you can play. Some of the best online games that you can purchase via stores are Tiger Woods PGA tour 2005, 2004, hot shots golf fore, Links 2003, Links 386, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003, etc. Keep in mind, however, all of these computer games require software on your computer, such as shockwave or might Macromedia flash.

Hopefully these tips will point you in the right direction when looking for golf games to play on the internet. Playing free golf games, while not enormously productive, can be a great way to unwind and relax after a long day at work.

Fear Of The Unknown And How You Can Defeat It

In most people there is a deeply seated fear that prevents us from taking control of our lives and shaping them to suit us. It is a fear that keeps us average, keeps us doing all the same things everybody else is doing, simply because it is the familiar thing to do.

The fear of the unknown.

You probably know that exact feeling Im talking about. That flutter in your stomach, that vague discomfort when you get close to the edge of familiarity, that warning in your head that can be so easily misinterpreted as a valid red flag. You know what I mean.

There are parts of our minds and natures that have a single purpose: To keep us safe. These parts are trained throughout our lives to discern between what is okay, and what is dangerous. When you accidentally touched the hot stove burner or iron as a child, that safety center learned from that. When you strayed too far from your parents and they called you back with that tone of worry and fear in their voices, that safety center in your head heard it and learned. Unfortunately, most peoples safety centers have gone a little too far in their learning. The lesson you probably internalized was if it is unfamiliar, it could be dangerous. Only trust the things you know.

The result of this, is that when you get too close to the edge of whats familiar, your brain sends off all the same warning signals and red flags that it would if you absentmindedly got too close to the hot stove. Its there to protect you, but it also is keeping you fenced into a safe little circle away from opportunity and growth.

What can you do about this?

Some people can break through this fence, ignore the warning signals, and seek new opportunities. There is a rush associated with this behavior that beats any drug. Its precisely that feeling of danger that provides the rush. Unfortunately, most of us cant bring ourselves to fling ourselves headlong through the fence (or at least not very often), so is there an alternative for the rest of us chickens out here who are not happy in the fence, but not impulsive enough to throw caution to the wind?

Yes. We have to make the unfamiliar feel familiar.

That may sound strange, but it is very possible. It takes no money, no special skills, just a few minutes each day. The only thing you need for this simple technique is your imagination.

Sit down somewhere quiet for a few minutes (if you have rambunctious children or a crazy schedule, you might have to do this in bed each evening or even when you have a few minutes to yourself in the bathroom). Close your eyes and think about the thing that has been scaring you. Dont worry about the fear of even thinking about it. In the privacy of your imagination, you are totally safe. Imagine step by step, doing the activity that has been giving you the flutters. At each step, stop and ask yourself what could go wrong at that point, how likely that really is, and what you can do to avoid the problems. What you are doing is looking around for the monsters outside the fence and seeing if there really is any danger to worry about. Once that is done, you can imagine yourself doing the steps to your goal, visualizing in vivid detail each bit as if you were actually doing it.

The results of this technique is that you can do something over and over again as many times as you need to until it becomes so familiar that there is no fear involved. What you are doing is essentially extending the fence to include wherever you want to go. This is something you can do again and again, making the fence bigger and bigger to include anyplace you wish. The biggest benefit is that rather than throwing yourself headlong through the fence and then possibly discovering all those problem and monsters that you mind had been warning you were there, once you have already committed yourself, instead you get to scope out the terrain bit by bit, and by the time you meet an obstacle, you generally saw it coming and already know what to do about it.

There are some people out there who have no fear of the unknown, and who can simply decide logically what they want to do and do it (I know, my mother is one of those people), but for the rest of us, this little technique can take the fear and trepidation out of the unfamiliar. Give it a try, Ill think you will like the results.

Know Fear!

We live in a society defined by its insecurities. We fear the loss of our jobs, our health, our money, our relationships, our sense of control. Here is a sampling of some less common fears to illustrate how far human fears reach:

- Dendrophobia fear of trees
- Chronomentrophobia fear of clocks
- Pentheraphobia fear of a mother-in-law
- Consultophobia fear of management consultants (I made that one up!)
- Xanthrophobia fear of the color yellow
- Blennophobia fear of slime

You get the point. Fear is deeply imbedded in many aspects of our day-to-day lives. Check out the evening news. Many of the stories are posed to get our attention by playing on our fears. A headline that reads, Are you poisoning your family at the dinner table? is guaranteed to get attention. So is the one asking, Are your children safe at school? In fact, when I was a youngster, I remember my mother saying, We can watch the six oclock news and not eat or watch the 11 oclock news and not sleep!

Since we fear most that which is unknown to us, defining moments of change can occur when we choose to know our fears.

Fear keeps us in the background, convincing us we can never accomplish our dreams. It is the voice of fear that tells us to keep quiet and to stay within our comfort zones. Without question, it is fear that stops us in our tracks toward our goals and limits what we are willing to try. For many, it is fear that makes us lead a smaller life. But fear can also motivate us.

For Li Vo, the young mother of two, facing her fear of heights was the least of her worries one night in the 1970s. Looking much younger than her years, she had joined the crowd of teenagers as they marched through her neighborhood toward the harbor that evening. Her Communist neighbors hadnt noticed her slip from her modest apartment and into the crowd. Her destination: America.

As the group neared the harbor, she glanced carefully at every vessel they passed until she saw the ship that would transport her and her family out of Saigon and to freedom, a journey they had saved for and plotted the past three years.

Somewhere, from out of the crowd, her husband Hui joined her with their two children. You must climb up, her husband instructed her.

As she gazed up at the looming side of the ship, her old fear returned, but only for a moment as she gazed into the expectant faces of her children. Follow Mommy, she encouraged, hooking her foot onto the first rung of the flimsy rope ladder. We will be fine.

As she slowly took step after step, she allowed herself to look down, only long enough to make sure the children were following. At last, she reached the top and climbed over the ships railing.

At 2 a.m., as the ship steamed out of the harbor, loaded with new refugees, Li and her family were on board and safe, leaving their native Vietnam far behind. Counting stops at refugee camps in Hong Kong and the Philippines, it took almost a year for the Vo family to finally reach the U.S. and the hospitality of their sponsoring family.

Even today, some 30 years later, Li remembers her defining moment. It was the moment she faced down her lifelong fear of heights to carry her family to freedom.

Knowing our fears and facing them will free us also.

The acronym F.E.A.R. stands for False Evidence Appearing Real. Its a true definition of fear. It describes how our minds can weave together false tales of how situations will turn out.

If I ask my boss about that promotion, I will get blacklisted. If I terminate Joan, I know she will sue us. If I dont nail this project, I will be off the fast track. If I dont get that bonus, I will never be able to afford our new mortgage payment. If I succeed at this job, I dont think I can take it to the next level again.

Fear is really a secondary emotion, not a primary one. Since we jump to fear so reflexively, we fail to think about our first reaction, which is the cause for our fear.

Causes of our behavior are easier to address than the symptoms, like fear. For example, our fear of flying might a symptom of a high need for control, and giving up that control produced tremendous anxiety fear. Our fear of public speaking (#1 on the worlds list of fears) might be a symptom of insecurities we are not expert enough or prepared enough to give a fluent speech.

The key is to identify our primary response to a situation or change and think about it. When we stop to think about our fear, we can determine if our primary response is insecurity, sense of loss, need for control or discomfort with uncertainty. Once we honestly identify our primary response, we start to know our fear more intimately. Then, we can equip ourselves with information and experiences to fearlessly manage change in our lives. We must think about and act on our fear instead of simply reacting to it.
This thought reminds me of the prison warden who told the condemned man to order whatever he wanted for his last meal, and he offered suggestions, Lobster, Filet Mignon, Beef Wellington or shrimp?

No, the prisoner said. Ill just have a bowl of mushrooms.

Why mushrooms? the warden asked him.

Ive always been afraid to eat them.

Dont wait until its too late to know your fears. Fear is a natural reaction to the challenges of life and leadership. To grow, change and excel, we must face them.

Excellent leaders listen and watch for what they fear. They seek feedback and other signs that might tell them to take a hard left off a straight path.

Since the information leaders receive can often be filtered to some degree, its up to the leader to get the full story. How do we do that? We can look for dissenting opinions, assumptions and perspectives to minimize our blind spots. If all we hear is yes, we should be careful. In fact, we shouldnt take yes for an answer!

We cant wait for different opinions to come to us… we must seek them out. Excellent leaders seek no holds barred input from employees in meetings, one-on-one updates, surveys, e-mails, in the break room or even after hours.

One of the most common defining moments I hear from employees is the time their manager asked them for input. Its amazing how something so simple can be so powerful. By asking for feedback to stay ahead of the fear curve, you can create a defining moment for you team you can redefine how things are done around here.

Our greatest fear should be that we will waste a moment a potentially defining moment.

Leadership excellence is rooted in a fearless confidence that what is discovered will pave a new, brighter path for the team. Know fear!

Adirondack Chairs - How to Choose One

In Blue Mountain Lake, New York, you will find a unique museum called the Adirondack Museum. According to the experts that run this museum, the Adirondack chair was originally called the Westport chair, named after a small town located nearby Adirondack Mountains. The design of the chair was first created back in 1900 by Thomas Lee. On a mission of designing a chair that could be used indoors or outdoors and one that was overly comfortable, he began his work, using standard boards and nails.

After creating his prototype, he asked family and friends to see what they thought and while the Adirondack chair does not look like the most comfortable choice of chairs, they were surprised that it was actually quite comfy. Today, the Adirondack chair remains a popular choice often associated with beachfront houses, big sprawling lawns, or screened patios. However, the Adirondack chair makes a wonderful addition to any home or yard.

The style of slated boards and the big wide armrest are what made Adirondack chairs well known and that style remains popular today. The armrest is especially nice in that it is wide and angled so you can easily set down a cup of coffee or glass of lemonade while relaxing in the shade. The patent for the Adirondack chair was provided in 1904 and over the following 20 years, the manufacturer made several variations of this one style.

The nice thing about choosing an Adirondack chair is that again, they are extremely comfortable and for the quality and efficiency, very affordable. Most Adirondack chairs are natural wood or painted white but more and more, new colors are coming available. You can also choose from the basic Adirondack chair or go with an Adirondack lounge chair that reclines easily or even a double Adirondack chair, perfect for cuddling with someone special.

If you love spending time outdoors or indoors, you will need to make sure you have a good, comfortable chair, which is exactly what you will get from an Adirondack chair. This particular chair is often handcrafted, providing a one-of-a-kind country look. The Adirondack chair adds a real touch of class. The curved back design and seat are made to wrap around the body, something you just do not get with any other type chair.

The standard Adirondack chair measures 32 1/4-inches wide and 38 1/4-inches deep, and 35-inches high. Although the price of a standard Adirondack chair will vary from one maker to another, typically a price tag of $250 would be considered reasonable. Best of all, the Adirondack chair will last years and years if taken care of properly.

Ecommerce Website Owners : Are You Leaving Money on the Counter?

Own an ecommerce website? Do you have a mailing list?

If not, youre potentially leaving a lot of money on the counter.

Keeping in touch with your past customers and visitors, is one of the easiest and cost effective methods of increasing your website sales. You simply must have a mechanism to collect the email addresses of both buyers and browsers alike.

Collecting buyers email addresses is a no brainer after all you need to send them confirmation details, receipts etc. Just make sure you ask their permission to keep them up to date on future special offers.

Collecting visitor details is a bit trickier, and you must offer some kind of incentive in return for them handing over their valuable email address. Here are several ways:

A discount voucher off their first order

The amount you are prepared to offer will depend on the profit margin in your business, and the drawback is you may only get the email addresses of people who were going to purchase anyway.

A competition to win one of your products

Do make sure you are honest and pick a winner put past winner details on your site to emphasise this

An insiders buyers guide

If you offer technical products that can be tricky to understand such as electronics, audio-visual etc, then write a short guide

Special reports or tips guides

If you sell golf equipment, search for articles on golf tips online, obtain the authors permission and compile them into a PDF report.

Managing your list

Depending on what ecommerce system your website is based on, you may already have the ability to manage email lists. If not, use a list management service such as Aweber (www.aweber.com), which allows you to set up autoresponder sequences, multiple lists and send HTML emails.

Which brings me nicely to the next *must* . . . send HTML emails!

HTML emails are the ones full of images and graphics, rather like webpages as opposed to plain text emails.

Why? They are far more eyecatching, which is essential given the increasing amounts of email we get every day. You stand a better chance if you include images of your products after all a picture is worth a thousand words, right?

(the only exception to this is people selling non tangible products or services - for example, information products usually work better in text emails.)

What should you communicate in your emails?

Special offers

Any products that you have put on special offer, sale items, end of line stock etc. Adding a message of limited availability or ends by a certain date will help increase response.

Seasonal offers

Garden furniture and barbecues in Spring, for example.

Offers tied to special events

Before the recent FIFA World Cup, I was inundated with special offers on all kinds of TVs for watching it on. If you can tie your products to a popular event in some way, so much the better.

New product reviews

Reviews of the latest product offerings to hit your marketplace, will interest your customers.

Technical how tos

If you sell any kind of technical product, your customers will appreciate the occasional how to guide. How to get the best out of your equipment, top tips, etc.

Frequency of emails

I wouldnt advise emailing your customers any more than once a week, and leave it more than a month between communications and they are likely to be forgetting about you.

There we have it. Loads of ideas on how to keep in touch with your customers, and make sure you stay at the forefront of their minds. The cost is virtually zero, and the potential returns are massive.

Whats the cost if you dont? Well, undoubtedly one of your competitors will make the effort and end up seducing your customers away from you . . possibly for good.

Focus on One Thing at a Time to Get the Job Done

All too often we can feel overwhelmed by the amount of work that we have to do and it is easy to get caught in the trap of trying to accomplish too many things at once and never completing any to your own satisfaction. Often there is a push to accomplish more and more, especially if you are focussed on your career and want to impress.

However, if you want to be really productive, and actually get more done the answer is to actually do one thing at a time. This can sound counter-intuitive and there has been a push over the past few years for people to take on more and more and to fill the empty periods of their day so that they are constantly doing something.

In reality do more is not the same as accomplish more and top performers the world over aim to do one thing at a time. For those of you who remember him Daley Thompson (perhaps the worlds top decathlon athlete) was interviewed on how he became so successful, his answer was to focus totally on the current event and to complete that, the other events just didnt exist in his mind during that time.

People who perform well in business follow the same strategy. Focus on one task at a time, concentrate and complete that one thing and then move on.

This doesnt mean that their waiting time is wasted, if they are waiting for something to happen with a particular piece of work they concentrate all of their energy on optioning and optimising.

On those occasions where they do move on to something else while they wait for a resolution they do several things:

(a) Take a Break The take a physical break from their desk. They get up, go for a 5 minute walk, get a coffee, anything that will take their mind off the previous task.

(b) Put it in their Schedule They plan in time in their schedule for the new task and set this time aside. If the first task comes back to them they finish the new task (or work on it for their allotted time) and only then do they return to the first task. They always go through (a) to change their current mental state.

(c) Schedule a re-visit They put into their schedule a time when they will re-visit the first task.

They never jump from task to task, everything is planned and measured. They plan to accomplish rather than to work on a task and the top performers never feel overwhelmed or as if they are drowning and they consistently achieve more than those around them by doing one thing at a time.

Give each task your total, complete and utmost focus and watch your productivity fly.

Tips For Washing Machine Buyers

Buying washing machine isn’t an easy task. If you’ve ever tried this you surely know there are multiple things to consider before you decide on exact appliance. If you are doing it for the first time you will surely need some advices!

First you should focus on capacity. That’s probably the most important case you have to take into consideration. If you usually wash a lot of clothes at one time, have small children, a big family, you will probably need a bigger one. And while being at shop, don’t trust so much the notes about the size of the drums. Look inside washing machines that you are willing to buy and compare sizes of them by yourself.

Close to a matter of capacity there is a case of how much space do you have at your bathroom. So the second thing is to look at the size of whole appliance. If you really need a big washing machine but don’t have a big bathroom you can choose the washing machine that is higher but thinner. It will take less space but its qualities would be the same as the bigger one. Those one are usually top-loading types. On the other hand you may also consider buying a front loader type washing machine - cause it gives space to put dryer or basket with dirty clothes on top of it. The choice of top or front loading washing machine depends on what type of space you have problems with.

Third thing is to remember that working of washing machine is always connected with great loss of energy and water. It is said that front loaders are more water-efficient. And what about energy? If you want to decrease the amount of energy that is used during washing you should seek for an appliance that will have a sign ‘Energy Star’. Those one might seem a little more expensive at first place than the regular one. But you have to bare in mind that you will save a lot on running costs over time. Money spent won’t be money lost, cause those washing machines are economy. Sometimes it is worth to buy appliances on higher prices and don’t worry later about the bills. Apart from the type you buy remember to switch off washing machine when it’s not washing anything. When it’s on the stand by status it will also use a little energy.

There are also some secondary matters that may not seem so important but are worth remembering. For example things like: length of wash (important for those who are always on the run), number of programs (when having different types of clothes - specially the delicate ones), look of controls (newer have digital buttons and display screens).

After all the effort, time and money spent on searching the ideal washing machine you should really take care of it. When you’ve already decided which washing machine to choose you should think about the time it lives. To longer the time of living of your washing machine you should probably check if you have problems with hard water. And if the answer is yes buy also a special detergent that will remove lime scale or one of water conditioners that will help deal with that.

It is a very important matter to remember about - limescale is not seldom a killer of washing machines and other home appliances as dishwashers or water heaters.

Home Owner Auto Insurance Quote It Is Possible To Save Money!

Did you know that you can help save yourself some money by purchasing your home owner and auto insurance from the same insurance company? Its true!

Sure, home owner insurance isnt usually required unless you have borrowed money
in order to purchase your home and your lender requires you to have home owner
insurance. For this reason, many people decide not to purchase home owner
insurance. However, purchasing different insurance policies, such as a home
owner insurance policy and an auto insurance policy, from the same company can
usually help you obtain a multipolicy discount. In other words, youll be able
to save money!

If youre in need of home owner insurance and feel that you are paying too much
for your current auto insurance policy, or vice versa, ask your insurance agent
about possible multipolicy discounts you can purchase.

If your current insurance company does not offer any multipolicy discounts,
consider looking elsewhere for a home owner auto insurance quote, such as
online. Many insurance companies provide Web sites about the different kinds of
multipolicy discounts they offer. Research these companies when you start
looking for your home owner auto insurance quote. Talk to any family members,
friends, and co-workers who have insurance through the same insurance company.
Make sure to talk to those who have multipolicies, as well.

Even more good news is that some companies make it possible for you to have
other combinations of insurance coverage with them. For example, perhaps you are
interested in purchasing insurance for your car as well as your health. Or,
maybe youd like to purchase insurance that covers your car, your health, and
your home. These are also ideas to consider when looking into getting a home
owner auto insurance quote.

So, the next time you receive an outrageous home owner or auto insurance bill,
remember, it is possible to get a home owner auto insurance quote and save
money!

California Commercial Auto Insurance

If you own a home based business, you must be aware that you are required to take out a separate insurance for you home based business apart from your home insurance. If you utilize your vehicle for your home-based business, you require separate insurance for car because your regular car insurance would not cover your commercial use.

The first thing you would have to do is contact you insurance company, agent, or broker. They would help you determine if your car usage would require commercial auto insurance. To determine this, the insurance agent will ask about your driving practices. The agent will ask how frequently you use the vehicle for work and if employees also use it. People who frequently use the vehicle for business use and who let employees use it should get commercial auto insurance.

So what does commercial auto insurance cover? Essentially, it will tender you the similar sort of coverage that your individual policy tenders. Liability, collision, comprehensive, personal injury, and uninsured motorist coverage are all standard features of your commercial auto insurance policy. Nonetheless, if your staff drives their personal vehicles for your business, you can get a non-owned endorsement to your commercial auto insurance for their vehicles. It would be prudent to sit down and negotiate all the details with your insurance agent with regards to the coverage you want.

You do not have to be loyal to your current insurance company. Before deciding up on an insurance policy, make sure you get couple of insurance quotes from different insurance companies. Always compare prices and levels of coverage provided.

Dont take up any insurance policy without conducting a background check of the insurance company. You will also need to check the financial stability of the companies you are taking into consideration, so confirm with A.M. Best, Fitch, or Standard and Poors to make sure you commercial auto insurance company is well rated. Lastly, verify with your state insurance department to find out consumer complaint ratios and get recommendations from other business owners.

Want To Build Your Own Home Made Water Purifier?

If you’re like me, sometime in your life you said to yourself, I could make that. I don’t need to spend good money on something that I could build myself! For instance, a home made water purifier. Heck, what could be so complicated about it? A little sand, some rocks, a piece of cheesecloth.

For a few bucks, I could build what others are paying hundreds of dollars for. And my water will taste just as good and be just as safe as the commercial water filters out there. So I go to work building my home made water filter. After a few hours, or even a few days, I call my wife in to see my new engineering marvel. She isn’t as impressed as I am with myself at building my home made water purifier. Guess she has seen my other attempts at building to save money.

She is even less impressed when she tastes the end product of my brain child. She said it tastes the same as the water coming out of the tap. She walks away shaking her head. But that doesn’t kill the dream of this would be inventor.

Does this sound like an excerpt from your life? I’m sure many of you have been successful with home made projects. But does the home made water purifier fit into a good do-it-yourself category?

Let’s take a close look.

The E.P.A states that there are over 2300 toxic and potentially cancer causing chemicals in our water supplies. Many of the water treatment plants are old and out of date. They are doing a poor job of filtering our water supply so we have safe healthy water. Most of them treat the water with Chlorine to kill bacteria.

This not only makes the water taste bad, but some bacteria is resistant to chlorine and still lives in our water supply. Not to mention all of the chemicals that filter into our water from factories and runoff of lawn chemicals from our yards.

Does your Home Made Water Purifier have a chance in getting rid of any of these culprits? Does it have a chance of removing more than small particles of rust and dirt? Let’s look a little more at what is in our water.

Our water supplies have many good things in them, like trace minerals which include zinc, potassium, calcium and magnesium, which our bodies need daily. Unfortunately, they also have chemicals and lead, that even our water treatment plants don’t remove.

Many of these plants use sand to filter, then just add chlorine. Nothing better than a swimming pool filter. Do you like that taste of swimming pool water?

What chance does your home made water purifier have against all these tough components.

There are many types of water filters and purifiers on the market. All of them do more than make the water taste better. Some, like the reverse osmosis filters, even remove the good trace mineral that I spoke of earlier. Multistage filtration seems to cover the areas which benefit us the most. And all do more than our home made water purifier.

Some food for thought!

Is your families heath worth saving a couple bucks and creating no more than a 6th grade science project. Will your home made water purifier remove the chemicals and pollutants that threaten your families health. Give it some thought. In my opinion, my families health is worth alot more than that. In fact , it’s priceless!

Jim Riley is a passionate spokesman about the health benefits of purified drinking and bathing water. Visit his site now at http://www.safewaterpurifier.com/pure.htm to discover the purification system he endorses and why.
